Ancient Futureは、世界で最も偉大なアコースティックギタリスト100人の1人として評されるMatthew Montfortにより1978年に結成されたワールドフュージョンミュージックグループ。
インド、アフリカ、バリ、中東、南米のリズム、ヨーロッパのハーモニー、アジアのメロディーなど伝統的な音楽とジャズ、ロック、レゲエ、アンビエントなどの現代音楽を融合させるフュージョンスタイルが特徴で、様々な国のミュージシャンともコラボする世界的な多国籍音楽アンサンブル。
