アーマンド・ヴァン・ヘルデンは、アメリカ合衆国マサチューセッツ州ボストン出身のDJ、レコードプロデューサー、リミキサー、ソングライターです。
1970年2月16日に、オランダ人とインドネシア人の血を引く父親と、フランス人とレバノン人の血を引く母親のもとに生まれました。
父親がアメリカ空軍に所属していたため、幼少期はオランダ、ラトビア、トルコ、イタリアなど世界各地を転々としていました。
13歳でドラムマシンを買い、2年後にはDJ活動をスタートさせています。
彼は、30年以上にわたるキャリアを持ち、ハウスミュージック界の重鎮として知られています。
ヴァン・ヘルデンが最も知られるシングルは、「You Don’t Know Me」、「I Want Your Soul」、「My My My」(タラ・マクドナルド featuring)、そして「Bonkers」(ディジー・ラスカル featuring)です。いずれの曲もイギリスのダンスチャートで1位を獲得し、ビルボードのダンスチャートでも最高2位にランクインしました。
