2006年ポストハードコア/ポストロックバンドnine days wonderの元メンバー川﨑昭（ドラム、ピアノ）と清田敦（ピアノ、キーボード）により結成され、2007年に新留大介（ピアノ、キーボード）が加入してトリオ編成となったMouse On The Keysは、ジャズ、ファンク、ポストロック、エレクトロニックミュージックが融合した独自のスタイルが特徴。
2009年にレーベルMachupicchu Industriasからリリースされた「an anxious object」は、Mouse On The Keysのファースト・フルアルバム。
