日本のキーボーディスト＆シンセサイザー奏者である喜多郎（きたろう）は、1994年にオリバー・ストーン監督の映画「天と地 (Heaven & Earth)」でゴールデングローブ賞作曲賞受賞。2001年には第43回グラミー賞最優秀ニューエイジ・アルバム賞を受賞している。
「Best Of Kitaro」は、ドイツのレーベルKuckuckから1985年にリリースされた喜多郎のコンピレーションカセットテープ。
