Freddie McGregorは、ジャマイカ出身のレゲエミュージシャン。1963年にレーベルStudio One (スタジオ・ワン)でレコーディングを始めた時は、わずか7歳だった。75年にはラスタファリアンに改宗している。
1980年初頭にリリースした「Bobby Babylon」で一躍有名になり、「Big Ship」「Push Comes to Shove」「Just Don’t Want to Be Lonely」など数多くのヒット曲を生み出した。
「Carry Go Bring Come」は、プロデューサーにAugustus “Gussie” Clarke (オーガスタスガッシークラーク)を迎え、1994年にリリースされたレゲエアルバム。14曲目は日本盤のみのボーナストラック。
