THE SQUARE or T-SQUARE is a Japanese jazz fusion band formed in 1976.
They were active in the late 1970s and early 1980s, along with other Japanese fusion bands.
The most successful lineup includes guitarist Masayoshi Ando, bassist Mitsuru Sudo, saxophonist Takeshi Ito, who also plays flute and EWI, keyboardist Hirotaka Izumi, and drummer Hiroyuki Noritake.
“Stars and the Moon”, released in 1984, is THE SQUARE’s ninth album.
