The Mars Volta is a US progressive rock band formed by former ATDI member Cedric Bixler and Omar Rodriguez. Active from 2001 to 2013. His style is a mix of various genres, including emo, culimo, dub, techno, Latin, salsa, and improvisation.
Their third album, Amputechture, featuring John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, was released in 2006.
