The Gentle People is a band formed in the US in 1995. Their sound is characterized by the lounge and easy listening taste of the 1950s, which was defined as “kitsch” in 1990s club culture.
Released in 1995 on Richard D. James (Aphex Twin) and Grant Wilson-Claridge”s Rephlex label, Journey is The Gentle People”s debut album.
A is a remix by Aphex Twin that samples ““Blue Mantilla” from the great Henry Mancini’s LP ““Mr. Lucky Goes Latin”.
