A post-bop album released by South African pianist and composer Abdullah Ibrahim, also known as Dollar Brand, on Trio Records in 1974.
The album “Dollar Brand - Ancient Africa” was recorded live at the Jazz-Hus Montmartre in Copenhagen in June 1972.
Abdullah Ibrahim was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun in 2020 for contributing to the friendship between Japan and the Republic of South Africa through music.
